WagonTrain Lake

Here are few pictures of Wagon Train Lake on the Friday before Memorial Day. Most of the camping spots on the southeast side were taken. Since the weather was so nice, a lot of the people were out fishing or just sitting by their campers.

Wagon Train lake has a beautiful camping area on the east side. You can see by some of the pictures that its nicely shaded with cottonwood trees. To find a more detailed description of the facilities at Wagon Train Lake, click here.

Wagon Train Lake - Hickman, Nebraska

Campground on the northeast side of the Lake. The cottonwood trees along here offer a lot of shade on hot summer afternoons. There are grills, picnic tables and some electrical outlets.

This is the handicapped access fishing pier on the east side of the lake.

The extensive Aquatic Habitat project included five breakwater jetties and three islands. Each of the jetties and islands adds about 1,000 feet of shoreline each. They also help promote the growth of aquatic plants which should make Wagon Train an excellent fishery for years to come.
